The bustling Georgian market town of Holt makes a wonderful base for enjoying this idyllic area. The stunning Norfolk coastline is just 4 miles away, and there are many wonderful rural walks to be discovered. Holt is home to a fantastic variety of independent shops, restaurants, pubs, historic buildings and art galleries, and the nearby Holt Country Park offers 100 acres of woodland. Local attractions include the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle and Binham Priory, the Muckleburgh Military Collection and the watermill at Letheringsett. You can also take a trip on a steam train, or visit lovely coastal resorts including Wells next the Sea and Cromer. Other places to visit include Blakeney National Nature Reserve, Pensthorpe Natural Park and the Cley Marshes Nature Reserve.
