Discerning guests will enjoy these two detached cottages (refs UK12756 and UK12757), which are full of original features and oozing charm. After a day sightseeing you can soak away the day in the hot tub or relax within the wonderful garden. Both cottages are privately located within the grounds of Salhouse Hall, a beautiful Grade II Elizabethan hall standing in acres of meadowland with grazing deer. Located just outside the Broadland village of Salhouse, they lie within easy distance of three pubs, all serving good food, a shop, a café, a garden centre, its very own broad (Salhouse Broad), and a train station (the Bittern Line) serving nearby Norwich and Wroxham. Salhouse Broad is a place of natural beauty, where you can sit back and watch the boating activity, enjoy a paddle or bring a blanket for a picnic. Hire a canoe or kayak for the day, or even by the hour, to explore the stunning waterways. A must for any walkers is the hour stroll along the Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail, accessible only by boat or ferry.
The city of Norwich is only 11 miles away where guests can visit the cathedral, castle museum, theatre, excellent shopping, art galleries, cafés and fine restaurants. Wroxham, situated only 3 miles away, is known as the ‘Capital of the Norfolk Broads’, and has waterside shops, cafés, and daily boat hire with river trips available to explore the expanse of waterways.
