In season there is fishing available from the property (current seasonal licence required), guests also benefit from the fact that day launches can be hired locally and moored in the private dyke.
Within easy reach of the coast, for a day at the sea, you will find Sea Palling close by with a wide sandy beach backed by sand dunes or Great Yarmouth offers a more lively atmosphere with its traditional seaside attractions. Nearby is Norwich the region’s capital, where you will find excellent shopping and many historic country houses such as Blickling Hall, Felmingham and Sandringham. Norwich Castle, built in about 1100, offers an excellent day out. Not far from the castle is the tall-spired cathedral, a marvellous example of Norman work. There is much to do in the locality, whatever your interest. Fishing on site in the river and location is ideal for golf. Shops and pubs within walking distance.
