This Grade II listed, detached property was built in 1745 and the present owner has lovingly restored it to a very high standard, yet has managed to retain a lot of the original features. The farmhouse is very spacious with plenty of room for all age groups. The original farmyard is now an enclosed courtyard and makes a lovely seating area for an evening meal. The local pub is just around the corner so no need for the car.

Filey is famous for its wonderful, long sandy beach that stretches for several miles, perfect for the family holiday. The town has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and a bank. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away where you can stand on the clifftop viewing points to see the puffins, and people travel from all over the world to come and see these comical birds in their thousands.

Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington are easily accessible by car, all of them being very popular east coast resorts. West House Farm is a perfect base to visit the east coast, Yorkshire Wolds and the wonderful North Yorkshire Moors. The city of York is an hour away by car and is not to be missed. Always voted as one of the top 10 cities to visit in the UK, it has something for all age groups. It’s a beautiful, medieval walled city with lots of cobbled streets, independent shops and street entertainers, as well as plenty of museums and theatres. Beach 2½ miles.
