For an authentic stay in somewhere truly unique, this is a perfect choice, immerse yourself in a holiday like no other. Seaton Mote gets its name as the property is beside the remnants of what was once a moat surrounding Seaton Hall. This stretch of water is now home to a family of ducks who nest amongst the reeds. Offering 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, this large property is perfect for a family gathering or special occasion. Entering Seaton Mote there is an open plan kitchen/dining room, where you can start each day with a hearty home-cooked breakfast, whilst planning the activities for the day ahead. The living spaces are snug making this property more suitable for groups of 8, although with the 5 bedrooms, 10 guests are welcome. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, and two on the ground floor.

Seaton Hall has a fascinating past, the hall was named after the De Seton dynasty who resided from 1130 to 1307, and whose family made allegiances with and marriages to the Scottish Royal family. Passed down through generations, before slipping into disrepair. The present owner purchased the estate in 2002. He has employed a team of specialist masons and craftsmen and has been lovingly rebuilding and restoring this incredible place of local heritage.

There is something to delight everyone in the area, with picturesque walking trails including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops. Many pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and the historical seafaring town of Whitby will delight guests. Whitby, with its cobbled old town, independent shops and cafes, boat trips and the iconic Abbey ruins makes for a great day out. Saltburn is a surfer’s paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier.
