This stone-built cottage in Allerston is set on a working beef farm, and its traditional accommodation includes exposed beams, a woodburner, exposed timbers and a farmhouse table in the spacious kitchen. The bedrooms, 2 family rooms with double and single bed, (1 with en-suite shower, basin, wc), a further family room with three single beds and a single room, can be accessed by the two staircases in the cottage, allowing a good degree of privacy and flexibility. The living room opens onto a games room which has a pool table, darts and a Playstation, making this cottage perfect for groups with younger members to entertain. The lawned garden is small but enclosed, and guests at this cottage also have use of a football pitch, and a pass for one car for Dalby Forest, with wonderful walking and cycling. Note: No large groups under the age of 35- the owner will, however, accept multi-generational family bookings that contain under 35's. Note: Dogs are not to be left unattended in this property at any time.

Town: Set on the edge of the Forge Valley, the village of Allerston is within easy distance of Pickering, a bustling market town with a castle. Allerston is a picturesque village, with a stream running through on its way to the River Derwent. Allerston is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is made up of pretty stone cottages, and makes a wonderful holiday base. There is so much to do in the area, such as horse riding, a gold course, a childrens playground and Dalby Forest, which offers some wonderful walking and cycle routes. The coast is within a short drive, so head to the beaches of Scarborough and Whitby, or out onto the wonderful Moors; a great holiday base.
