Outside this Hutton Buscel cottage, a fabulous, large front garden with a variety of fruit trees offers a tranquil spot to sit and relax with a glass of wine. Surrounded by stunning countryside, this Hutton Buscel cottage is well placed for walking and riding, with numerous public footpaths and bridleways in the area. Enjoy exploring the nearby Forge Valley with its woodland trails, or visit the historic market towns of Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley. The small, picturesque village of Hutton Buscel lies five miles south west of Scarborough, quietly situated on a hillside, with glorious views over open countryside. Pretty stone cottages and houses line the main street from end to end in this ancient, well kept village. The original 12th century church was altered in later periods and has been fully restored, and also has links to the famous Whitby Abbey. East Ayton lies just a mile below the village and has a good local shop, fish and chip restaurant and country pub. The stunning scenery in and around the Forge Valley is ideal for walkers, with many woodland and open countryside tracks, whilst the popular seaside town of Scarborough is only a few minutes’ drive. With easy access to the market towns of Pickering, Malton and Helmsley and numerous attractions nearby, Hutton Buscel makes a perfect place to stay. There are good golf courses at Kirkbymoorside and Scarborough, a steam railway and trout fishing at Pickering, and castles, gardens and museums all close by including Helmsley Castle, Duncombe Park and Ryedale Folk Museum.
