Gather your loved togethers and enjoy a family staycation at Hidden Treasure. Sleeping up to 10 guests, you’ll have exclusive access to the property during your stay which includes a spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area, a second reception room, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Located on the North Yorkshire coast in the popular town of Whitby, Hidden Treasure is a fantastic choice for a retreat by the sea.

The Space:
Hidden Treasure has beautiful interiors throughout. On the ground floor, you’ll find a bright and spacious living area with a chaise lounge sofa, tub style chairs, a flat screen TV and a statement fireplace. The perfect place to unwind with your loved ones, you can retreat here after a fun day of exploring Whitby.

The kitchen diner is at the rear of the space. With white, high shine cabinets and modern appliances, the kitchen is both stylish and fully equipped. The dining area seats up to 10 so you can enjoy home cooked meals together.

Hidden Treasure has five stunning bedrooms. You’ll find a king bedroom with an ensuite shower room on the first floor as well as a cosy snug room.

Take the stairs to the second floor and there are a further two king bedrooms. One bedroom features an ensuite shower room and the other has an ensuite with a traditional freestanding bathtub. A separate shower room is also located on the second floor.

On the third floor, you’ll find the final two bedrooms. This includes a king bedroom with an ensuite shower room and a small double room.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Please note the rear yard is only to be used as an emergency exit, otherwise it is private to guests staying at Little Treasure (a separate holiday home). Guests staying in Hidden Treasure will have exclusive use of the front garden area.

We provide parking scratch cards for two vehicles for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.

The Neighborhood:
Set on the West side of Whitby, Hidden Treasure is just a short walk from the central Flowergate. Find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants on Pier Road. Venture along the lively road and you’ll reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll find the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.

On the opposite side of the bridge is the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from Hidden Treasure.

Whitby train station is less than a mile away on foot so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
