Located in the seaside town of Whitby, Puffin House is a stunning 5 bedroom holiday home perfect for family getaways and staycations with friends. Just a short 10-minute walk from the bustling town centre, you’ll be able to explore everything Whitby has to offer easily. Boasting beautiful interiors throughout, private on site parking and a great location, Puffin House will certainly tick all of the right boxes.

The Space:
Puffin House has a cosy and welcoming living room. With three comfy sofas and a flat screen TV, it’s the ideal space to unwind on an evening after a fun-filled day at the beach.

The house also benefits from an open plan kitchen diner. The heart of the house, the dining area features a large table and rattan dining chairs as well as a chaise lounge style sofa, a flat screen TV and a log burner. Perfect for socialising, the kitchen also shares this space so you can chat with your loved ones as you prepare meals. Fully equipped, the kitchen has modern appliances including an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is also a large walk-in shower, WC and basin located on the ground floor.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find four bedrooms, a family bathroom and a separate WC. The master bedroom features a king size bed, a freestanding bathtub and a traditional Victorian style basin. The second bedroom has a super king bed, the third features a king bed and the fourth bedroom has a double. Modern and clean, the family bathroom includes a walk-in shower, WC and basin.

Upstairs on the second floor, there is a king size bedroom and bathroom. With sloped ceilings and skylight windows, both rooms have beautiful views of the sky above. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and basin.

You'll notice views of Whitby Abbey and the sea in the distance from some of the bedroom.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

There is private on site parking for two vehicles. Additional parking can be found on street outside of the property for one vehicle but please note this space isn’t guaranteed.

The Neighborhood:
Set on the West side of Whitby, Puffin House is just a short 10-minute walk into the centre of town. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.

Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from Puffin House.

Whitby train station is roughly half a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

This vacation home is located in Whitby. Whitby Harbour and Whitby Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore North York Moors National Park and Pannett Park. Museum of Victorian Science and The Moors National Park Centre are also worth visiting.
