Town: The unspoiled village of Ampleforth, which is home to a few old homes, two pubs, a tearoom, and the neighbourhood store, is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and the market town of Helmsley, which has two Italian restaurants, a curry house, two hotels, and two pubs, is only a short drive away. While the National Park to the north offers distinctive, beautiful moorland scenery and a range of walks and cycle paths, the calm rural roads are perfect for cyclists looking to explore the area's hidden communities. Ampleforth is in the ideal location for a varied yet restful vacation thanks to adjacent Pickering and its steam trains to the north, Castle Howard less than 15 miles away, and Scarborough and the East Coast about 35 miles away.

Located in York, this cottage is in a rural area. Helmsley Arts Centre and National Trust Nunnington Hall are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Ampleforth College Golf Club and Cleveland Way. The Dutch House and Yorkshire Lavender are also worth visiting. Practice your golf swing on a nearby course, or enjoy other activities in the great outdoors, such as hiking/biking trails, rock climbing, and cycling in the area.
