Many original features have been retained including a feature stained glass window and some exposed beams. The formal dining room has generous proportions and there are two elegant and tasteful sitting rooms, one with a woodburner. There are five sumptuous bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, and the luxurious bathroom has a roll-top bath for that relaxing soak at the end of a busy day. The viaduct crossing the River Esk is constructed out of an astonishing 5,250,000 bricks, it is 120 feet high and it was built to carry the Scarborough to Whitby railway line. It is now known as 'The Cinder Track' and is used as a walk and cycleway. There is river and sea fishing to be enjoyed in the area or time can be spent boating on the river.
