This beautiful old cottage is perfect for couples wanting to get away from it all, relax and unwind, or as a base to climb Jura's Paps and explore the island.

Mrs Leonard's is part of a new retreat, Bothan Jura, that we have been building for the last five years. It is located 5km out of the island's only village of Craighouse, along the beautiful sweep of Small Isles' Bay.



With magnificent sea & mountain views, star gazing is second to none from your private sauna & wood fired hot tub.

 And if you're very lucky, the northern lights!

- 2 night minimum stay
- Wood fired hot tub (takes 1.5 hrs to heat and likes a lot of love)

-2 baskets of logs included, £10 a basket, £5 for kindling after this (you are welcome to bring your own and the local shop on Jura sells bags for £10).

Dogs:
We are very dog friendly, but please get in touch if you are thinking of bringing a dog - the cottage is on a croft with livestock roaming free and we have strict rules.

Things To Do
We really want you to get the best out of Jura and your stay here. We have bikes, a kayak, a large star gazing telescope all of which you can borrow. We can also help you hire bikes, get a guide, plan a hike, go on a boat trip, so please just ask. Walk, run, swim, cycle, SUP, kayak, bird watch then relax & unwind, Bothan Jura is a perfect base & getaway to explore Jura.

Order in Advance
Let us know if you would like fresh baked goodies from The Island Bakehouse or fresh seafood, fish or groceries to be at the cottage ready for your arrival and we will do our best to help you get this sorted. And if we're here, and given notice, we can have the hot tub up to temperature for your arrival too!

We have planted 160 trees and are slowly shaping the site after years of moving it from a bog to a place we can live, so please bear with us that it's not completely finished! The land will take some time to grow and heal again after the disruption, but we are pouring lots of love into it and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Located in Isle of Jura, this cottage is in a rural area and near the beach. Feolin Study Centre and Arichonan Clearance Village are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Tarbert Golf Club and Tarbert Harbour. Fishing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain climbing and cycling nearby.
