With three welcoming Yorkshire pubs, several cafes and tearooms, takeaways, wine bar and quality restaurant all within three minutes walk from your doorstep. You can relax and enjoy the local hospitality without worrying about your car. Walk home to a roaring fire under the dark skies. (The National Park is now one of 18 International Dark Sky Reserves)

In addition, Grassington has a small well stocked convenience store, a bakers shop and a deli. A larger supermarket, butchers shop and fuel are available in nearby Threshfield, only 5 minutes away by car.
Grassington also has a range of interesting local craft, gift and outdoor country clothing shops amongst others and a very informative museum.

The village has a wealth of walking experiences for all abilities from strolls by the river to more challenging hill walks. It is a popular cycling destination with cycle hire and bike servicing available locally. The Yorkshire Dales National Park Information Centre, located in the village can advise on a wide range of activities locally and further afield around Yorkshire.
