Sir Francis Bigod is named after a former resident, whose name is recorded in history as starting an armed Roman Catholic rebellion against King Henry VIII. This charming cottage looks out onto the patio which backs onto the sweeping estate grounds surrounding you, and the tree lined valleys and rolling countryside of the National Park beyond. On the ground floor there is a bespoke handcrafted kitchen with the dining area, as well as a separate spacious living room. In the evening sit back and relax on the comfortable sofas around the crackling wood burner. Nestled in a peaceful rural location, this is the perfect place to relax and take each day at your own pace. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with twin beds, both with en-suite facilities, making this ideal for small families, friends or couples looking for a romantic break.

Seaton Hall has a fascinating past, the hall was named after the de Seton dynasty who resided from 1130 to 1307, and whose family made allegiances with and marriages to the Scottish Royal Family. Passed down through generations, before slipping into disrepair. The present owner purchased the estate in 2002. He has employed a team of specialist masons and craftsmen and has been lovingly rebuilding and restoring this incredible place of local heritage.

There is something to delight everyone in the area, with picturesque walking trails, including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops. Many pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and the historical seafaring town of Whitby will delight guests.
