Beautifully designed, Freshwater View is a stylish holiday apartment located within a new build development in the dock area in Whitby. Aptly named, this two-bedroom ground floor property has incredible views of the River Esk so you can enjoy your morning coffee watching the boats docked in the water. Just a short walk from the town centre, you’ll be perfectly placed to enjoy the popular Whitby attractions whilst staying in a quiet area.

The Space:
Freshwater View is a stylish apartment boasting an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, two bedrooms and a family bathroom. Sleeping up to four guests, it is perfect for family staycations by the sea or coastal getaways with friends.

The open plan living space includes matching sofas and a flat screen TV so it’s ideal for unwinding with your loved ones during your stay. Whether you’re ordering in a takeaway or tucking into a home cooked meal, you can gather the family together and enjoy meals in the dining area which includes a round table and four chairs. Also sharing this space is the kitchen which is fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware.

Both bedrooms in the apartment have comfortable super king beds with crisp linens and plush bedding to ensure you have the best sleep possible. Pops of colour are added with the mustard and royal blue soft furnishings to give a really luxe finish. Both super king beds can be split into two singles if this would be more suitable for your stay.

Modern and clean, the family bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower, WC and basin.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

There is one designated parking space for Freshwater View at the property.

The Neighborhood:
Freshwater View sits along the River Esk in the dock area.

Walk along Church Street and you’ll wind up at the East bank where you’ll find narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Walk over the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk and you’ll find yourself at the West side of town. It’s here you can discover cosy pubs, fun arcades and even more fish restaurants! Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from Freshwater View.

Whitby train station is less than half a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
