Located in the Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast, Station Cottage is a recently refurbished two bedroom property with plenty of style. The perfect getaway for couples, small groups of friends, and families, the house has everything you could need for a staycation by the sea including modern appliances and plenty of storage space. The dog friendly Station Cottage also has its own south facing garden with a secure bike store which is an added bonus!
The Space:
Station Cottage has a welcoming and homely living room. Including a comfy sofa, two laid back chairs, and a flat screen TV, the space is perfect for relaxing. Light floods into the space from the front of the property to create a bright and airy feel in the room which has neutral tones.
Fully equipped with modern appliances, the kitchen-diner has everything you could need to make the most of your self-catering stay including an oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, dishwasher, and a washing machine.
The dining area includes a round dining table with four chairs, making it a great spot for enjoying meals with your loved ones.
Both bedrooms in the property boast comfortable beds with plush bedding and premium bed linen to ensure you have a great night’s sleep. The master bedroom features a king size bed, whilst the second is home to two single beds making it ideal for guests staying with children and teenagers.
The bathroom at Station Cottage has a bathtub, separate walk-in shower, WC and wash basin, all in amongst a light grey colour scheme.
Head outside from the kitchen area, and you’ll find a south-facing rear yard with furniture and lighting provided for alfresco dining, along with storage space for your outdoor equipment, including bikes thanks to the secure bike box.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Station Cottage are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Free on street parking is available around the surrounding streets on a first come, first served basis. No permit is required.
A maximum of two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Station Cottage per reservation. Dogs should remain downstairs at all times.
One travel cot is provided at Station Cottage.
The Neighborhood:
Station Cottage is located in the heart of the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast, so all of the required amenities, beach and lower promenade are within close proximity to the property.
Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance. Station Cottage is close to all local amenities including independent shops, bars, restaurants and bistros.
Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!
Getting Around:
Station Cottage is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Saltburn Train Station is directly opposite the property and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Darlingto, York, Leeds and Manchester with connecting trains to London and other major cities throughout the United Kingdom.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
