The View is a newly renovated, stylish apartment housed inside Hudsons Yard House, Situated on the famous Flowergate, in the heart of the beautiful seaside town of Whitby. Perfectly named due to the amazing views that can be seen through the kitchen bi-fold doors on the third floor of the building. The apartment boasts plush interiors with luxury fabrics and furniture throughout. If you’re looking for a break by the sea, with a space that allows you to see the sights of Whitby from a height then the View is for you. Sleeping up to four guests across one level, The View can be enjoyed by couples, friends and family alike. The apartment is large enough to enjoy your own space yet designed for everyone to enjoy the apartment together.

The Space:
Located on the third of Hudsons Yard House, The View has a mixed colour palette of greys, navy and pale rose. This space creates a peaceful retreat away from the bustling streets of Whitby.

The L-shape kitchen and dining area is the main communal space in the apartment. The fully equipped kitchen frames the room and includes everything you would need for your staycation. All the basics are in place; gas hob, microwave, electric oven, fridge, toaster and kettle. You will then find those little extras such as a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.

The dining area sits proudly in the corner of the kitchen and dining space. Featuring four grey suede style bucket chairs and a solid marble top dining table. Ahead of you are the bi-fold doors with amazing views of the harbour and the south east side of the town. Push them all the way back to enjoy the fresh sea air and dine while the sunshine floods in.

In the middle of the hallway you will find the bathroom which includes a WC, basin and large walk in shower. The walls are tiled floor to ceiling with large grey tiles and the room is finished off with a wood effect floor.

Just along the hallway you will find the first of the two bedrooms. This bedroom features dark furnishings and a kingsize bed. The deep blue, upholstered Chelsea style bed adds elegance to this room and is dressed with finely pleated deep teal cushions. The bedside glass top table and double headed table lamp sit neatly alongside the bed.
With a wall hung clothes rail and shelf and a narrow console unit there is plenty space to store your personal belongings.
At the end of the bed you will find a two seater deep blue seat which faces a 33” flat screen tv, giving you a space to sit back and relax in the comfort of your own bedroom.

The second bedroom is located at the far end of the hallway. This is the master room of the apartment featuring a luxurious collection of fabrics and furnishings, created with lazy days in mind. With a beige upholstered super king bed this is a luxury to enjoy at any time of the day. Sitting alongside a three seater sofa in a soft pink suede fabric you have plenty of space to get cosy and watch the latest drama series on the wall mounted, flat screen tv or get everyone together for movie night. The bedside tables feature deep mango wood drawers standing tall on metal legs and the clothes rail is tucked away in the corner alcove of the room.

If you are looking for a break away where you want to enjoy the inside as much as the outside, The View should be on your list.

Hudsons Yard House is home to four separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 14. If you are looking for a stay for a large group there are often opportunities to rent all four apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.

The Neighborhood:
The View is located on the iconic Flowergate, in the centre of Whitby. You will find the flurry of shops, restaurants and bars just a few steps from the front door.

The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The famous Trenchers is nearby where you can try traditional Whitby fish and chips! On Pier Road, you’ll find nostalgic arcades which are fun for all ages..

The opposite side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Sample the catch of the day in one of the fish restaurants or visit one of the traditional sweet shops for all your candy needs.

Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary and the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
The View is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.

Whitby train station is just a short 10-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

This apartment is located in Whitby. Captain Cook Memorial Museum and Whitby Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Whitby Harbour and Whitby Golf Club. Museum of Victorian Science and The Moors National Park Centre are also worth visiting.
