Located just a short stroll from Whitby Harbour and the towns shops, bars and famous fish and chip restaurants, you’ll be perfectly situated for a luxury getaway in the seaside town.

The Space:
Upon entering The Penthouse, you’ll be welcomed into a bright and luxurious space. Step down into the open plan living, kitchen and dining area to find the social hub of the apartment. With different hues of blue throughout, this beautifully curated space has a striking look.

At one end of the room is the kitchen. With deep blue coloured cabinets and gold hardware, the kitchen is bold and stylish. The space is complemented perfectly with white brick style tiles and light wood parquet flooring. Fully equipped for all self-catering retreats by the sea, all stays at The Penthouse come with an oven, hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There is also the added bonus of a coffee machine so you can treat yourself to a delicious coffee each morning!

The kitchen also includes the dining area. Ideal for socialising with the rest of your party whilst cooking or preparing drinks, you can take a seat on one of the four jewel coloured dining chairs and chat easily. When it comes to meal times, the black glass dining table is perfect. With enough space for up to five guests, you’ll be able to enjoy home cooked meals or takeaways in this very spot.

Past the stairs at the other end of the room is the living area. With a blue, velvet sofa, navy fan style chair and bright turquoise armchair, the living space is perfect for relaxing. Cosy up with your loved ones and enjoy a night in front of the flat screen TV. In the summer months, open up the huge doors and let the warm air drift in. Packed with gorgeous accessories, the living area has a gold sun mirror, white marble style coffee table and matching ornate lamps.

Head up the steps and you’ll find two spacious bedrooms and the bathroom. In keeping with the rest of the apartment, the master bedroom has a striking blue, velvet bed and gold accessories. You’ll enjoy your nights sleep at The Penthouse as the King size bed boasts premium linens and bedding. Huge glass doors create a light and spacious feel. To complete the space, there is a gold dressing table with a baby pink armchair.

The second bedroom has sloped ceilings and a plush carpet to create a really cosy vibe. With a King size bed and second single bed, this room is ideal for families. With matching cushions and gold lamps, the space has been beautifully designed to give a calming feel whilst still keeping its signature stylish look.

Head to the bathroom and you’ll find a modern and clean space. With a blue feature wall and white brick style tiles, it is packed with style. There is a skylight window in the sloped ceiling above the tub bath so you can watch the sky as you enjoy your soak. There is also a large walk in shower, vanity unit, basin and WC.

Prospect Hill Apartments is a three-apartment complex sleeping up to 13 guests. If you are looking to book a stay for a large group you can reserve The Hampton, The Madison and The Penthouse at Prospect Hill Apartments and enjoy exclusive use of the building, with designated parking and outdoor space.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Free designated parking for the apartment is available on the front driveway.

The Neighborhood:
The centre of Whitby, and Whitby Harbour are just a short walk away from The Hampton, so it’s ideal if you want to experience what life is like living by the sea.

The area is famous for the quality of its fish and chip restaurants, and there are plenty of places where you can sink your teeth into a fresh catch. When you fancy a drink, you’ll find a variety of bars as well as pubs and shops in the local area.

Whitby is also famous for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. You’ll find plenty of sites near the apartment with historic interest relating to the story. The main inspiration can be found at the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. In particular, Dalby Forest and Guisborough Forest, just a short drive away and they both have various beautiful walking and cycling routes to explore.

Getting Around:
There is free driveway parking at the front of the apartment, but you don’t need to have a car to enjoy staying here as it’s such a short walk to the town centre, Whitby harbour and to the train station. Villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
