Sand & Surf is a recently renovated apartment sleeping up to six guests across three beautiful styled bedrooms. It is conveniently located on the seafront of Whitby’s West Cliff in a central location for beach, harbour and shops. This apartment is perfect for those looking for a relaxing retreat by the sea and will provide memories to treasure for a lifetime.

The Space:
Sand & Surf is a well designed, first floor apartment with everything you could need for a self-catering staycation in Whitby. Ultra stylish and modern, it features an open plan kitchen, living and dining area where you can relax, socialise and get lost in the stunning sea views.

The apartment boasts three gorgeous bedrooms with king size beds. The master bedroom features an ensuite shower room, a large bay window with views of the sea and a flat screen TV. Similar in style, the second and third bedrooms have premium soft furnishings and the highest standard of finish.

Featuring marble look tiles, a bathtub and a separate walk in shower, the bathroom at Sand & Surf is modern and stylish. A WC and basin complete the space.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.

Please note we do not accept bookings for stag / hen parties and same sex groups.

The Neighborhood:
Sand & Surf is located on the West Cliff just off the North Terrace so you can expect beautiful sea views. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short stroll from the apartment and on Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
Sand & Surf is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.

Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Whitby Pavilion and Whitby Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Whitby Abbey and Whitby Lighthouse.
