The Old Chapel is a charming apartment perfectly located on the fringes of Whitby town centre. Sleeping up to six guests across three bedrooms, the apartment is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a getaway where they can explore the treasures of this slice of the Yorkshire coast. With private on-site parking and plenty of facilities inside the apartment, The Old Chapel is a great place to head for your self-catering stay with family and friends.

The Space:
The Old Chapel has plenty of space for you to roam about in. The open-plan living, kitchen and dining area has plenty of comfy seating, with a spacious sofa and a comfy armchair, providing the perfect place to relax in front of the TV after a busy day exploring the best of what Whitby has to offer. You’ll also find a wooden dining table with six well spread out chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs.

A true highlight is the master bedroom at The Old Chapel has a king-size bed complete with plush bedding and premium bed linens. You’ll also find a modern en-suite bathroom with a shower, wash basin and WC. The other two bedrooms consist of one double room, as well as a twin room which is ideal for those with children. Yet again, these beds are made up using premium bed linens.

The family bathroom has a shower, basin and WC available for your use.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

The apartment is accessible, being all on one level.

Parking is down the bank from the property and is named 'Flat 2 Parking'

The Neighborhood:
The Old Chapel is located near the harbour in Whitby and you’ll find restaurants, shops and pubs less than a 10-minute walk away.

The property is located on the West side of Whitby. You’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.

Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
You’ll find restaurants, pubs and shops just in a short walk from The Old Chapel.

Whitby train station is nearby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

This apartment is located in Whitby. Captain Cook Memorial Museum and Whitby Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Whitby Pavilion and Whitby Abbey. Museum of Victorian Science and The Moors National Park Centre are also worth visiting.
