Travel to the historical town of Whitby and see the imposing Gothic Ruins of Whitby Abbey, said to be the inspiration behind Bram Stokes Dracula. Take in the breath-taking views of the town and coast from the top of the 199 Steps, before descending down to the cobbled streets, stopping off at St Mary’s Church along the way. Take a boat out to sea to spot elegant whales on a guided tour, or stay on land as you soak up the sunshine on Whitby Beach. Hop on the Saltburn Cliff Tramway for a scenic journey with views of the sea. Travel back in time at Winkies Castle or head deeper into the North York Moors for an awe-inspiring hike through the countryside, uncovering the enchanting waterfalls of Beck Hole and Mallyan Spout.
