In a magnificent setting overlooking the River Wharfe and Linton Church 100 yards upstream, this converted former 18th century mill house is full of character. The cottage is ideal for two families or groups of friends holidaying together, has been comfortably furnished with beams and exposed stonework and is set beside The Dales Way long distance footpath. There are views from most rooms of the River Wharfe as it wends its way down the dale, and a wide variety of birds can be observed near the cottage including kingfishers, dippers and curlew. Relax and dine alfresco on the terrace on those warmer days or enjoy walks by the riverside to the pretty village of Burnsall, Barden Tower and the picturesque setting of Bolton Priory.
There is a wealth of historical and natural interest in this corner of Yorkshire. Grassington has a quaint cobbled square with tea rooms, pubs serving good food, a convenience store, butchers and bakers. The village hosts a festival in the summer and Dickensian weekends in December.
