The newly refurbished Toffee Crackle House is a four bedroom holiday home located in the heart of the village of Staithes on the North Yorkshire Coast. Perfect for families and groups of friends, the property is within close proximity to all of the local amenities such as independent shops and pubs, whilst the beach and harbour are also a very short walk away. Also dog-friendly, Toffee Crackle House can sleep up to eight guests and a wonderful stay with your loved ones is guaranteed.

The Space:
A traditional cottage externally, yet modern internally, Toffee Crackle House offers the best of both worlds when it comes to style.

With a combination of white and mint green walls, and wooden flooring, the open plan living and dining area feels cosy and homely. The living area features a comfy coral sofa, a matching armchair and a wall-mounted flat screen TV equipped with streaming services.

Perfect for entertaining friends and family, the dining area is located just off from the living area making it a real focus point within the house. The wooden dining table has eight cushioned chairs so all guests are catered for.

The kitchen has light green wooden cabinets and golden fittings. Both stylish and functional, the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster so you’ll have everything you need for your self-catering staycation.

All four bedrooms at Toffee Crackle House are welcoming and homely. Like the rest of the property, they have plenty of character, along with their own individual colour schemes. On the first floor, you’ll find two king-size bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower room, and there is a double bedroom on the second floor.

Completing the bedrooms is the characterful double bedroom on the third floor which boasts exposed wooden beams to provide a cosy cottage feel. Guests staying in this bedroom will also have access to an ensuite bathroom.

A great night’s sleep is guaranteed as all of the beds are made up with plush bedding and premium bed linens.

The family bathroom, located on the first floor, is modern with square white tiles and a bathtub with an overhead shower. The space is complete with a wash basin and WC.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Pay & display parking is available at the top of Staithes bank. Guests can load an unload at the bottom of the bank. Further parking information will be provided prior to your arrival.

A maximum of one dog is permitted to stay at Toffee Crackle House per stay.

The Neighborhood:
Staithes is the quaint coastal hamlet which was recently named one of Britain’s most beautiful seaside villages. It has high cliffs, winding streets and mismatched cottages bursting with charm.

The village is also known for its abundance of fossils which can be found along the small beach and in the cluster of rockpools. This area is nicknamed the ‘Dinosaur Coast’ as it’s packed with history.

Staithes is a magnet for art and artists alike. Throughout the village you’ll find amazing painted illusions known as the ‘Painted Illusions Trail’ created by the famous artist Paul Czainski. It is also the home to the impressionist art society, known as Staithes Group, and their work can always be seen dotted around. Visit Staithes Gallery and browse the wonderful exhibits inspired by the village.

Getting Around:
Toffee Crackle House is within walking distance of all that Staithes has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and Whitby.

Staithes has great bus links to surrounding areas including Whitby, Sandsend, Saltburn, Middlesbrough, and Scarborough. The X4 bus runs from Middlesbrough to Whitby passing Staithes Lane End making it very accessible to other desired bays.

The closest train stations are located in Saltburn and Whitby.

Located in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, this apartment is by the sea. Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum and ArtsBank are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Whitby Pavilion and Danby Castle. The Moors National Park Centre and Museum of Victorian Science are also worth visiting.
