The Manse, located in Broughton Sanctuary just ten minutes from Skipton, North Yorkshire, is a mid-19th century property that has been fully renovated to provide a luxurious retreat for up to eight guests. This charming home retains its period features, including Yorkshire flagstone floors and an orangery, while offering modern amenities. Guests can enjoy scenic walks, wild swimming, and the beauty of nature, all within close proximity to the Yorkshire Dales, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation and outdoor activities.

Upon entering The Manse, guests are welcomed into a stylish kitchen equipped with modern appliances, including an electric range cooker and a central island with a Belfast sink. The dining area, along with the orangery that boasts panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, provides a perfect setting for memorable meals. After dining, guests can unwind in the comfortable sitting room, which features an original fireplace and a private library. Additional facilities include a utility/boot room for storing walking gear and a study for those needing a quiet workspace.

The first floor features four individually designed bedrooms, each with a super-king size bed that can be converted into twin beds upon request, as well as en-suite bathrooms. With stunning rural views, these accommodations offer a peaceful retreat for guests looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The large outdoor area includes a generous patio and established flower and herb beds, perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing around a firepit in the evening.

Broughton Sanctuary offers various amenities and activities for guests, including dining options at The Bull, which provides a discount for The Manse guests, and a complimentary breakfast at the Utopia bistro. The Sanctuary is rich in history, having served as a backdrop for numerous film and television productions. The current owner, Roger Tempest, is the 32nd generation of his family to own the estate, which has inspired various creative works, including the cartoon series by his sister, Annie Tempest.

In addition to its historical significance, Broughton Sanctuary features numerous outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, and wild swimming, alongside wellness facilities like a sauna and an award-winning wellbeing center. The expansive 3,000-acre property also includes 18 additional holiday homes, catering to larger gatherings or family reunions.
