A simply stunning detached holiday home resting in the tranquil outskirts of Seahouses in Northumberland, Marmalade Cottage is the ideal destination for a large family get-together or a gathering of family and friends. Inside, the interior has a real ‘wow’ factor and certainly wouldn’t look out of place out in the classiest of interiors magazines. The outstanding accommodation starts with the open-plan living space which has a double height vaulted ceiling helping to create a real feeling of light and space and makes the most of the beautiful views with bi-folding doors allowing guests to let the outside in. You can imagine gathering on the comfy seating area either in the winter to get warm in front of the gorgeous woodburning stove or to cool down on hot, sunny days by throwing open the sliding doors; this is a wonderfully sociable space where many happy holiday memories will be made. The designated chef will be delighted with the sleek and contemporary kitchen which comes fully equipped with everything needed to entertain and feed the troops. The stylish dining area is set up ready for guests to pull up a chair and look forward to long, leisurely meals together. Should the sun be shining, then you can carry on the party outside with an attractive patio area complete with extensive patio furniture, where guests can take a seat and chill while any children and pets can run around safely in the enclosed gardens. A great alternative space to relax and either play or chill out is the mezzanine level play room which has seating and the space for children to play or the grown-ups to sit back and curl up with a good book away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. The ‘wow’ factor continues with the bedrooms, which are like something out of a chic boutique hotel; tasteful soft furnishings combine with beautiful décor and sumptuous beds, throws, cushions and rugs, which all add up to create a really laid back vibe. There are five wonderfully appointed bedrooms; four king-size and one double and with four bathrooms to choose from, no need to worry about queuing for the bathroom in the morning! Seahouses is just a few minutes’ walk which has a good selection of amenities as well as miles of sandy beaches and because it’s located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you are guaranteed a whole host of beautiful walks and hikes rewarded by some stunning views along the way. Take a boat trip which run daily from Seahouses to Farne islands where you can look out for birds and seals. Further afield there are magnificent castles to discover such as Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Lindisfarne and Cragside, with towns such as the historic market town of Alnwick; Alnmouth known for its excellent golf course; and Bamburgh with its infamous castle. For an outstanding holiday destination that oozes style and glamour, a stay at Marmalade Cottage promises holiday memories that will last forever.
