A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

Located in Alnwick, this cottage is in a rural area and by the sea. Embleton Tower and Dunstanburgh Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club and Seahouses Golf Club.
