There is also a fantastic attic spa with exposed woodwork, walk-in shower, a super Jacuzzi-style hot tub and a sauna for six people. There are also comfortable chairs and sofas in the sitting area, and robes, spa slippers and one extra spa towel can be provided at an additional charge (£10). The lower ground floor has a games cellar with music, seating, darts and a football table ideal for the children.

This characterful property is set in the very centre of the town close to the pubs, and is perfect for sharing special times together with friends or loved ones. Ideal too for the many walkers and cyclists who love visiting this area with routes available from the door. This is a great location for exploring the North Pennines, Hadrian’s Wall, Hexham, Durham and the Lakes, or travel over to the north of Northumberland to sample the heritage coast with miles of unspoilt beaches for a magical day out. Allendale sits 9 miles south west of Hexham, a small market town most famous for the annual New Year’s Eve celebrations, Tar Bar’l, where visitors come from far and wide to watch this old tradition. In the summer, Allendale has a two day music festival and visitors will be sure to want to visit the Allendale Brewery with a great selection of real ales.
