This is a charming property, lovingly converted into a unique cottage with lovely, individual touches inside and out, all within the heart of Rothbury s much loved market town. Leave the car and walk to the wide range of independent shops, welcoming restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Stroll along the banks of the River Coquet listening to birdsong, play a picturesque round of golf, or visit historic Cragside House and the beautiful gardens and pinetum for a variety of walking routes for all abilities, including a sculpture trail. Try the circular route on the Simonside Hills and head into the Northumberland National Park for more walking and cycling adventures. Nearby Alnwick Castle and Gardens is a must visit and the sandy coast is within a 40 minute drive. Enter through the front door of this stylish cottage and you come into a hallway where you can leave your outdoor coats and shoes before heading upstairs to the rest of the cottage. You will find the two bedrooms first which lead off from the landing; one is a light and airy double bedroom with open storage for your things and a step down from the hallway takes you to the single bedroom, perfect for an additional child guest where the high ceiling adds to the impression of space and light. The contemporary bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. A glazed door takes you into the inviting open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The bright and well equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals with an electric oven and induction hob, a microwave, a fridge with an icebox and a dishwasher, and there is a breakfast bar with two stools that are perfect for relaxed dining. The lounge has a comfortable sofa where you can unwind in front of the wood burner while watching your favourite movies on the Smart TV. From here, two steps take you up to the orangery style summer house with a garden table and chairs for inside dining, and a second breakfast bar with stools overlooking the garden, perfect for your morning coffees. The useful washing machine is housed inside a cupboard in this room and the door leads out and up four stone steps to the garden. Outside, enjoy the enclosed, west facing patio garden and raised lawned area for afternoon sunshine and evening sunsets. There is a chiminea for warmth all year round, a park style bench where you can sit with a book, and a bistro set for al fresco dining. Roadside parking is free on the main street, in front of the mews (subject to availability) and there is a free car park five minutes walk from the cottage( 400 meters).
