The bubbling hot tub awaits your arrival - Aintree Lodge is perfectly located backing onto trees in a quiet spot of the beautiful Percy Wood Country Retreat in Swarland, not far from Alnwick. This modern and delightful lodge has a bright, airy space with large windows and French doors leading onto the raised deck maximising the views over the park to the countryside. An ideal retreat for couples, friends or a family for that much deserved short break or a weeklong holiday.
The area around the park has plenty of wildlife, where you are likely to see deer, red squirrels, and lots of birdlife, as well as the ducks from the duckponds on-site. Plenty of walks can be taken right from your door to enjoy this lovely country park. Aintree Lodge has an inviting cosy open plan living space which is perfect for sharing special times with friends or loved ones. The large Smart TV is ideal for catching all the latest news and films, and with free Wi-Fi everyone is happy.
The 18-hole golf course on-site is free to visitors of Aintree Lodge, and on-site is a friendly club house with bar serving food which is open most days. A small children’s play area is situated near the entrance and an on-site food van is usually parked at the top of the park.
Aintree Lodge is in a perfect location for travelling around this stunning county, from coast to countryside Northumberland has something for everyone. A short drive takes you onto the coast where you can discover miles of golden sands and friendly villages peppered with ancient castles and history along the way. Alnwick is nearby, where the Duke of Northumberland still resides in the castle, which you can visit and see some of the areas used in TV’s ’Downton Abbey’ and the ’Harry Potter’ films. The little village of Swarland has a small café and village club where visitors are welcomed.
