Nearby are the villages of Bamburgh, to the north and Beadnell, to the south, two excellent places to explore, especially Bamburgh castle. From Seahouses you can take a boat trip out to The Farne Islands at any time of year, where you can see plenty of local wildlife including puffins from Easter until summer, grey seals (in the autumn) and occasionally dolphins!
