Located in the picturesque grounds of Ellingham Hall with pleasant woodland nearby for walks, plus an amazing tree house play area that the children can enjoy. Ellingham is close to many golden sandy beaches, the nearest of which is stunning Beadnell Bay, just a short drive away. From here you can try your hand at water sports, or relax in the dunes, walk to the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle or explore some of the other seaside villages along this much loved stretch of coastline, including Bamburgh and Seahouses. Boat trips to Holy Island or the Farne Islands are also close by. Visit superb Alnwick Castle and gardens, only 10 miles from here where you can learn how to fly a broomstick Harry Potter style! Other castles nearby include Bamburgh and Warkworth. For golf enthusiasts there are local courses at Bamburgh, Seahouses and Dunstanburgh. This cosy cottage is accessed via two steps to the front door. On entering this charming property, which has wooden floors throughout, the staircase is immediately to your left, whilst to your right is a door to the utility room with a washer/dryer, butler sink and WC. The welcoming lounge area offers two comfortable sofas where you can snuggle up in front of the wood burner with logs provided, for cosy nights in watching your favourite film or TV show on the Smart TV/DVD. For those family meals in together, there is a dining table and seating next to the French doors with lovely views of the garden. There is a cupboard housing games, puzzles, books and a range of DVDs for your use whilst staying at the cottage. From the lounge/diner there is an archway leading into the kitchen. The kitchen offers an excellent range of facilities, including a fridge, separate freezer, a range style electric oven with gas hob, a dishwasher, microwave, cafetière and Nespresso coffee machine. Whilst the kitchen is slightly open to the lounge/diner it is not fully exposed. A door from the kitchen returns you to the hallway. You will find a useful stair gate at the top of the stairs which lead up to the two attractively presented bedrooms, both with views over the lawned garden. The master bedroom has a king size bed where you can sleep in style and comfort and there is a wardrobe and chest of drawers to store your things together with a smart TV. The pretty twin bedroom is ideal both for children and adults alike, and there is a hairdryer should you need one. Beautiful travertine tiles lend luxury to the family bathroom with a shower over the large bath so you can pamper yourself with a long soak in the bath or take a refreshing shower. Luxury toiletries are provided. French doors lead you out onto a good sized terrace with table and chairs and the expansive lawned garden to three sides, perfect for dogs and little ones to let off steam while you enjoy an al fresco meal or drinks in the garden to extend your days. There is a low, stone wall on one side and fencing to the other two sides (which means that the garden is not fully enclosed). There is a fabulous tree house and play area opposite the garden, perfect for the little ones and you too, as you can supervise from the garden. Please be aware that there is no BBQ and due to the setting, it is not considered suitable to bring your own. There is off road parking for two cars at the front of the property.
