This wonderful family friendly property is located in the heart of the village within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and tea rooms to enjoy an authentic British afternoon tea. The harbour is within walking distance which offers the opportunity for boat trips to the Farne Islands. The property is also only a half an hour drive to Alnwick Castle, a filming spot for the Harry Potter movies and Alnwick Gardens, which showcases a treehouse restaurant. The area boasts invigorating and beautiful coastal walks right from your doorstep. It's a perfect spot for those who enjoying walking and sightseeing. The cottage is full of great features and has all the facilities you will need for a great trip away. The ground floor boasts a spacious lounge/diner with a stone Inglenook fireplace with wood burner, Smart TV with Basic Sky package, wooden flooring, doors and beams. There is gas central heating in the property, the thermostat can be found in the living area in the right hand alcove. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC. The first floor, accessible via an open tread staircase which may not be suitable for guests with a mobility condition, houses two bedrooms: one restful king size and a second bunk bedroom. A generous starter pack is left by the owners to include half a large basket of logs, 2 full scuttles of coal and wood kindling. There is a local garage located at the top of the street where you can purchase more wood for the log burner should you require. To the rear of the property features a porch suitable for outdoor boots and clothes and leads on to a shared yard. Off road, private parking for one small to medium size vehicle is available at the side of the cottage.
