Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: Felmoor Park in Northumberland is a top-tier campground just off the A1 with its 40 wooded acres and manmade lake. It sits between the towns of Morpeth (to the south) and Alnwick (to the north). West Thirston, a quaint English village only three miles away, is a must-visit. The town of Alnwick, with its castle and now-famous Garden—home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden, and an ornamental walled garden—is only ten miles away. The village itself has a shop, pub, and restaurant. The castle is also well-known for its role in the "Harry Potter" film series, where it served as the location of Hogwarts. There is plenty to do and see in the area around Alnwick, including visiting the town's many shops, pubs, and restaurants as well as taking a boat out to the nearby Farne Islands. The perfect base from which to discover Northumberland and the rest of the county's beautiful Heritage Coast.

Located in Morpeth, this lodge is in a rural area. Morpeth Bagpipe Museum and Crown Studio Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Macdonald Linden Hall Golf Course and Warkworth Golf Course. Eshott Heugh Animal Park and Treacle Wool Shop are also worth visiting. Be sure not to miss outdoor adventures like hiking and cycling.
