The Space:
LIVING AREA, DINING AREA, AND KITCHEN
The ground floor of Cheviot House is home to the living area, dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and small washroom. The colour palette is neutral and cool, creating a calm and welcoming space.
So, whether you’re preparing a family feast, enjoying a beautiful breakfast around the table, taking a long soak in the bath or cuddling up on the sofa in front of the tv, it’s easy to settle in and make this space your own.
BEDROOM
The first floor of the property is home to the three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Two of the rooms feature double beds and the final room is a single. Each bed has a luxurious mattress, quality bedding and crisp white linens, the perfect combination for a restful night’s sleep.
A sofa bed can be made upon request which will increase the occupancy of Cheviot House to seven.
GARDEN
Step outside the property to enjoy the private, enclosed garden. If you are looking for a space to dine al-fresco or a safe place for the children to play, this well-manicured outdoor area is perfect.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Free on-street parking is available outside the property on a first come, first served basis.
The Neighborhood:
With a bustling harbour and a seaside holiday resort feel, Seahouses is packed with charisma. Treat the family to a game of crazy golf or go rock pooling. The charming village offers a whole host of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and shops all within a 0.8 mile walk or drive so you won’t tire of things to do. If you like horse riding, there is a riding school close by and two incredible golf courses on the doorstep.
Hop on one of the boat trips from Seahouses and take a journey to the Farne Islands. Just a couple of miles off the coast, this cluster of islands are one of the UK’s top wildlife experiences. It even has Sir David Attenborough’s stamp of approval as he declared it as his favourite place in the UK to see nature at its best. The Farne Islands are known for its birds with 23 different breeds spotted here, including colourful puffins and razorbills. If you’re lucky enough, you may even see a seal bobbing in the sea whilst you’re on the boat.
Getting Around:
The nearest train station to Seahouses is at Chathill which is 5 miles away. The closest East Coast Main Line train stations are located in Alnmouth or Berwick-upon-Tweed which are roughly 30 minutes away from Seahouses by car.
There are great bus services from Seahouses. Hop on the X18 which takes you through to Newcastle with stops in beautiful areas of Northumberland like Amble and Alnwick.
