Enjoy the best of both worlds staying in this quiet village just 1.5 miles from the beach, known locally as Sugar Sands , one of this stunning coastline s best kept secrets accessible via a country path. Walk, swim or paddle, or take a picnic and your book for some relaxing time out. The village is served by a grocery store and a friendly pub/restaurant. Nearby Boulmer Beach offers more glorious beach strolls and the occasional dolphin sighting. Alnmouth s pretty village (3.5 miles) has some lovely shops, cafes and pub/restaurants, a children s play area, a picturesque golf course, and another gorgeous beach. Visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens (4.5 miles) and Craster (5 miles) for some fresh seafood and walk the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle. Take the seven stone steps down from the private parking area to reach the lower level of the garden, where you can access the property. Step across the threshold into the generous boot room where you can leave your outdoor clothing and sit down to take off your walking boots. Head through the stone arch into the striking open plan kitchen/dining room with a high, vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, and the featured original stone and brickwork which is a reminder of the property s working history. This is a great space for sociable mealtimes with the family, sitting together at the large dining table with bench seating to relive the day s memories and plan the next day s activities. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast, including a gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, a built in microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Head to the spacious lounge to relax on comfortable seating in front of the impressive inglenook fireplace which houses the wood burner. Unwind with a book or watch a movie on the Smart TV. The open tread spiral staircase leads to a fun mezzanine seating area with books and games, and a large Velux window from which you can gaze up at the dark, starry night s sky. The three bedrooms are located up one step into the hallway which leads off from the kitchen, and French doors open from the hallway into the garden. There is a king size bedroom with plenty of storage for your things and an en suite shower and WC, a double bedroom with ample storage, and a single bedroom with a pull out trundle bed and open hanging space. The family bathroom completes the accommodation with a bath, a separate shower cubicle, and a WC. Outside, the garden space is almost a quarter of an acre. Enjoy breakfast and dinner alfresco sitting on the garden furniture in the walled patio. Stone steps lead to the raised, open lawn area with views of the neighbouring fields and the parking area. The garden is not fully enclosed. Private parking is off road for three cars and there is plenty of room to leave your bikes.
