The location is close to Warkworth and Amble, two of the top tourist destinations in Northumberland. Warkworth is a picture-postcard village with the castle sat at the top, great cafés and a few friendly pubs. Amble is larger with a working harbour and bustling little harbour front with a great Sunday market, shopping pods and more restaurants and pubs. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is only 11 miles away and really worth a visit during your stay. A little further you will find Craster, a pretty little village with an array of amenities. Travel a further to Seahouses, 25 miles, for a real seaside experience with fish and chips and boat rides to the Farne Islands to see the seals or puffins. The border town of Berwick is only 40 miles away, steeped in history, and once belonging to Scotland. A walk through the surrounding farmland and countryside will take you to an award winning ice cream parlour. Don’t forget you can easily travel inland too, over towards the stunning National Park where you can witness the true diversity that Northumberland has to offer.
