On entering the property guests will be immediately taken by the sheer quality of the accommodation. The living, kitchen and dining areas are all open plan and offer ample space for a family of eight and a four-legged friend. Also on the ground floor, guests will find two double bedrooms each with zip and link beds. There is a super, family shower room with a large shower cubicle and heated towel rail, perfect for warming up after a long day walking. On the first floor there are a further two double bedrooms each with zip and link beds that can be split into two full size twin beds or joined together to form a super kingsize bed. Each of these upstairs bedrooms benefits from en-suite facilities, one with a shower over bath, and one with a separate shower cubicle. Perfect use of space on the landing also offers guests a small chill out area that will be perfect to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hot tub on the expansive decked area is a brilliant addition to a somewhat already perfect property and guests can enjoy gazing at the stars whilst enjoying the bubbles. Brewers Cottage is the perfect choice for a family holiday, a break with friends or a good old celebration.
Situated within the grounds of the owner’s home yet keeping a private feel, there is no better location for exploring the local area. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers there are many routes to take that lead from the village and out into the countryside of Northumberland. The market town of Hexham is only 3 miles away and offers a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and a number of useful superstores. For active guests there is also a swimming pool, leisure centre and bowling alley, and for those who enjoy visiting historical attractions, Hexham Abbey and Hexham Old Gaol offer a great day out. Why not spend a day at the races and take a trip to Hexham Racecourse, located only 4 miles away? The pretty village of Corbridge is only 6 miles away and is great for an afternoon enjoying a late lunch or evening meal in one of the many traditional cafés or pubs there.
Those who enjoy exploring the local area and also learning a little about local history will be thrilled to find themselves just a few miles away from Hadrian’s Wall. With so much to see and discover here, they may find themselves returning day after day to either take a walk along the famous Military Road, explore one of the Roman Forts and settlements including Chesters, Vindolanda and Housesteads or take a look around the discovery centre called The Sill. Just a short drive to both Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Gateshead, guests who enjoy visiting more modern attractions on their holidays will be pleased to find the Metrocentre within easy distance.
