The sheer quality and the owners’ eye for detail is evident from the moment you walk through the door. The living, kitchen and dining areas are all open plan on the ground floor with a large wood burner and arched French doors. The ground floor also boasts a bedroom and a beautiful shower room. Upstairs is just as impressive with three stunning bedrooms with 6ft luxurious beds, and in one room the en-suite has a superb roll top bath. A snug on the first floor is perfect for relaxing with a good book or enjoying a bit of quiet time watching TV. The Old Chapel is the perfect place for a family holiday or a luxury break with friends.
Slaley is a delightful Northumberland village, perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers as there are many routes to take that lead directly from The Old Chapel and out into the beautiful countryside. There are two pubs in the village so after a day exploring, just take a short stroll and you can enjoy a well earned meal or drink.
The market town of Hexham is only 6 miles away and offers a variety of shops and restaurants. Enjoy the historical sites the town has to offer at Hexham Abbey or the Old Gaol. A must visit is to the pretty little village of Corbridge, again only 6 miles away.
Whilst staying at The Old Chapel, the world famous Hadrian’s Wall is just a few miles away where you can take a walk along the path of the wall or explore one of the Roman Forts and settlements including Chesters, Vindolanda and Housesteads. Return after your day exploring to the luxury of The Old Chapel. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
