Barn Cottage is one of the Bamburgh First Collection, a converted sandstone farm building for up to 8 guests, located in the hamlet of Dukesfield, only a short drive to the popular seaside village of Bamburgh in Northumberland.
It is set within landscape grounds with a fenced off paddock area. It is ground floor accommodation with 4 bedrooms (steps up into kitchen and down into bedrooms), with an open plan living area. A contemporary living space, furnished with red leather sofas and a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings.
Guests also have access to the Gathering Place, where they can relax with a book, play games, or have a go at table tennis. Guests also have access to a shared tennis court, children’s play area and hot tub - exclusively available to all guests of Bamburgh First properties at Dukesfield.
Northumberland is steeped in history with many imposing castles to explore including Alnwick Castle made famous by the Harry Potter movies and the striking Bamburgh Castle built high on a rocky outcrop. The quiet lanes are perfect for cyclists and walkers to soak up the stunning landscapes and perhaps catch a glimpse of the remarkable array of wildlife including red squirrels, roe deer, wild goats, otters and black grouse.
Size: Sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. Beds: 1 x super king size bed, 2 x twin zip and link beds (can be set as king size, please request at the time of booking), 1 x twin bed.

Living/dining area: Comfortable sofas, wood burning stove, flat screen Smart TV with Netflix, dining table and seating for 8 guests. Kitchen: Modern cooker and stylish hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, Nutribullet, hand held blender. Access from the back door to the paddock. Bedroom 1: Super king size bed, bedside drawers with lamps, wardrobe, dressing table, flat screen TV, views across open countryside, en suite with shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 2: Twin zip and link beds (can be set up as king on request), and access to Jack and Jill bathroom with walk in shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 3: Twin zip and link beds (can be set up as king on request), and access to Jack and Jill bathroom with walk in shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 4: Twin beds, vanity console, dressing table, bedside tables, lamps and views of the countryside. Bathroom: Bath handheld shower attachment, WC and washbasin.
Entertainment: Flat screen TVs (living room and master bedroom), Netflix in living room, BOSE speaker, multi device charger, telephone, broadband, CD player, range of games, toys, books, DVDs. For families: Travel cot and highchair available on request (please note, we do not supply a mattress or bed linen for the cot). Outside: Shared lawned paddock area and shared courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue. Parking: Parking available. General: WiFi. Bed linen and towels provided. Oil central heating.
Pets: 3 dogs welcome @ £25 per pet per week or part thereof. Please contact the holiday cottage agency directly to make payment. Note - you must not leave dogs unattended in the property.
