Homildon Cottage is beautiful, a traditional and much loved holiday home on the fringe of the National Park with direct access onto a bridleway and St Cuthbert’s Way. This child and dog friendly property is very well equipped with four bedrooms accommodating eight guests. Interiors are beautiful -  the kitchen has an Aga, there’s a vintage wood burning stove in the sitting room and the sunny conservatory /dining room is perfect for chatting with a glass of wine over dinner. Step outside and lose yourself in the delightful garden - a lovely spot for breakfast with views to Homildon Hill.
The cottage is in a secluded spot, but not isolated, the village amenities are a short walk away in Wooler. A bridleway leads from the door into the National Park and the famous St Cuthbert's Way.
This is a designated Dark Sky Park where the only night light is from the moon and stars. Wildlife is excellent too, look out for wild goats, deer, peregrine, red grouse, ring ouzel, buzzards, ravens, kestrels and red squirrel. Fishing, golfing, riding available nearby. Visit historic houses, gardens, churches and castles or head off to the coast - a short drive away and stroll along the beautiful beaches.

Sitting room : vaulted ceiling, vintage wood burning stove, sofas and chairs, coffee tables, ,bookcase.
Large flat screen TV, Blu-Ray dvd, CDs, dvds. Board games, walking guides, books.
Conservatory: dining table and chairs, sideboard, door to patio.
First floor:
Master bedroom : kingsize bed. ample hanging space, drawers and storage
Ensuite shower room : shower, WC, wash hand basin.
Bedroom 2 : double bed, ample hanging space, drawers and storage
Bedroom 3 : twin beds. ample hanging space, drawers and storage
Bedroom 4 : beamed attic double bedroom, ample hanging space, drawers and storage
Family bathroom : bath with shower over, wash hand basin, WC, large heated towel rail.
Snug: study/quiet room to relax and read. WiFi.
Entertainment: large TV in lounge with blu-ray DVD player, DAB & CD music system with USB/bluetooth, CDs, dvds. Multi-game table. WiFi  with 10–15 Mbps broadband.
For families : cot and high chair are available. Stair cases are too wide to accommodate a stair gate.
The stable has been converted into a games room and leisure store.
Outside: mature garden mainly laid to lawn. Decked area with Barbeque, table and chairs. Small summer house gazebo. The garden is but not entirely secure. Converted stable/games room to store any outdoor gear and cycles.
Parking : off road parking in grounds for up to 4/5 cars depending on size
General: WiFi. All bedding, bed linen, towels, electricity, oil – for central heating and hot water and the AGA, logs for the log burner. Welcome pack.
Pets: 2  well behaved dogs welcome @ £25.00 per dog per week or part thereof. K9 welcome pack if you have booked your dog. Your pet should not be left in the property unattended (unless crated). Dogs should not be allowed in the bedrooms or on furniture. Dog duvet, plastic dog bed, dog crate medium or large can be hired.
Please note: Well behaved dogs and children are welcome at Homildon however, please note that the garden whilst for the most part is fenced with agricultural stock wiring, is not fully secure and there is an unfenced pond and wildlife area adjacent to the property (not part of Homildon's land). The adjacent fields often have livestock in them and you are asked to observe the Country Code in particular the guidance on dogs, children and livestock. Homildon uses a septic tank. The property is fully non-smoking including the stable/games room.
