Historic Lincoln offers a vibrant and contemporary day out with plenty of things to keep everyone busy. There is plenty of history on offer with its medieval cathedral and a copy of the Magna Carta housed at the castle. Why not walk the castle walls and take in the views across the city? The National Nature Reserve of Sherwood Forest is a short drive away and was once part of a royal hunting forest. The area now covers 450 acres with plenty of walking and cycling routes, and includes some ancient trees, some of which are over 500 years old. The Granary offers a perfect retreat for that special break, whatever time of year.
