Only 5 miles away is the town of Newark with a good range of shops, amenities, bars and restaurants and a mainline train station (it is a 90-minute journey from London if you want to visit the capital for a day out). Lincoln is 14 miles away with its castle and cathedral, which are popular with visitors, as well as the vibrant Brayford Wharf. Boat lovers will enjoy Brayford Marina in Lincoln, Burton Waters and also Newark marina all where you can sit and have a coffee as you watch the boats go past.
The barns are well situated for visiting Lincoln Showground, 30 minutes’ drive away, and Newark Showground is 10 minutes’ drive, as well as the famous Lincoln Christmas market. Pub and restaurant 4 miles.
