Gardeners Cottage is a wonderfully presented three bedroom period property set in the peaceful village of Shipton-under-Wychwood. With original traditional stonework, exposed beams and wood burning stove this is a perfect holiday home in the stunning Oxfordshire countryside.
In addition to the three double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, and the large family bathroom, this delightful property enjoys two sitting rooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room seating six guests, and a large private walled garden. A courtyard area with a table and seating for six guests and a further comfortable seating area for four.
Shipton-under-Wychwood village is within walking distance from the cottage and is a great base from which to explore the vibrant city of Oxford and the gems of the Cotswolds, all just a short drive away. Guests can enjoy many country walks on the doorstep along with cycle paths in abundance, with many quaint tea rooms and pubs close by.
Ground Floor:
Sitting room
With wood burning stove, LCD television with Freeview and a DVD player. A selection of books are available.
Three steps lead to the
Dining room
With a table and seating for six. This table can be extended to accommodate eight. There is also a stereo including a CD player, iPod dock and radio. Please note that the fireplace in this room is decorative only.
Kitchen
With an electric oven, gas hob, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Television room
A separate hideaway with a large sofa and arm chair and LCD television with Freeview. Please note that the wood burning stove in this room is purely decorative.
First Floor:
Master Bedroom
With its decorative, Victorian feature fireplace and 5' king-size double bed.
En-suite bathroom
With a double shower, double wash basin, heated towel rail and wc. Hidden away in a large cupboard you will also find the washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bedroom two
With its beamed ceiling, decorative Victorian feature fireplace and two 3' single beds.
Bedroom three
With two 3' single beds and iPod dock.
Family bathroom
With a bath and shower over, wash basin, heated towel rail and wc.
Outside:
The large walled garden is a wonderful place to relax in after a day touring the Cotswolds. The courtyard area includes a table and seating for six. There is also further comfortable seating for four.
Please note that there are a couple of ditches in the garden located next to the external walls of the cottage so it is highly advised that young children are supervised in these areas.
Off street parking is available for four cars.

Located in Chipping Norton, this cottage is in a rural area. Blenheim Palace and North Leigh Roman Villa are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Cotswolds and Eynsham Park. Cotswold Wildlife Park and Crocodiles of the World are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.
