Set in a peaceful location, moments from the centre of the famous Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton, is this contemporary Cotswold stone home, House on the Green. With lovely views overlooking the large green and three welcoming bedrooms, this house is ideal for a small family or group of friends looking to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. As you approach the property you will be delighted with the large, open greenery in front of you, as you park your cars in the spaces that host up to five cars, and enter through the front door. A large hallway welcomes you on arrival, the perfect space to store your coats and muddy boots, before entering through the property, past the handy cloakroom and into the well-equipped kitchen/diner which contains all the facilities you require to cook up delicious meals and gather with your guests around the breakfast table that seats four or perhaps take the conversation outside to catch the last of the sunshine, through the French doors in the kitchen/diner and out into the enclosed garden that houses a table with seating for six on the patio area and a barbecue you can make use of, as well as a lawned area adjacent to this. Spend your evenings in the first-floor living/dining room with its inviting sofa’s so you can curl up with your loved ones into the evening and watch a great film on the flatscreen TV that has a home cinema system and DVD player. When night falls, you have a choice of three homely bedrooms; the double room sits adjacent to the living/dining room on the first floor and the other two bedrooms are accessed by taking a staircase up to the second floor where you will find a twin room and a king-size room with an en-suite shower room, as well as the shared bathroom containing a bath. Once you’ve had your well-earned rest and got ready for the day, head out into the market town of Chipping Norton, where you can enjoy some breakfast at The Old Mill Coffee House & Bistro, before catching a show at The Chipping Norton Theatre or meandering around the market square where you may be lucky to catch the farmers’ market if you’re visiting on the third Saturday that occurs of each month, and finishing your day with a heart-warming meal at The Chequers pub. A short car journey will bring you to nearby Chadlington, where you can visit Diddly Squat Farm and indulge in delicious hamburgers, cool draft beers, lagers, ciders and rosé, and also the interesting cow juice. You are centred around wonderful walking and cycling routes so why not head to Kingham to discover the lovely village green and marvel at the surrounding Evenlode Valley, before taking the walk back to Chipping Norton which is known as ‘AONB walk 6’ and is around 6 miles on the short route and 9 miles on the long route, taking you through Adlestrop, Chastleton and Cornwell. On your way through pretty Chastleton, make sure to visit the well-known Chastleton House which is a splendid Grade l listed Jacobean manor built in the early 1600s. A splendid location and a home-from-home feel – choose House on the Green as your base!
