Pigeons Piece is a pretty detached Cotswold cottage with accommodation for up to 7 people over 2 floors. The house sits on the edge of the Cotswolds, a mile from Woodstock and Blenheim Palace and 9 miles from the City of Oxford and ten minutes by car to Soho Farmhouse. The house is light and characterful, with beautiful Cotswold stone, and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment.

Downstairs is a large, well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area that was recently featured in a national magazine. Off the kitchen is a utility room, cloakroom and downstairs loo. There is the luxury of 3 well appointed reception rooms, one with a beautiful gas fire and a snug/cinema room offering Netflix and Sky and a wood burning stove.

Upstairs are four bedrooms sleeping seven. All beds have luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers. Fluffy white towels are provided.

Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed and an en suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed.
Bedroom 3 is a twin bedroom with two single beds.
Bedroom 4 has a single bed with a low sloping ceiling - there is also an option to pull out a trundle if needed for a small child.

There is a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

At the back of the house is a large patio leading accessed from the kitchen with a Weber Gas BBQ for the summer entertaining and a table tennis table. Leading off the terrace is a good sized back garden leading to a field - a perfect place for a picnic lunch.

At the front of the house is a walled south facing garden - perfect for afternoon tea in the sunshine. There is off-street parking for 2 cars (1 large car, 1 small). The property has a dedicated broadband service and wifi.

Pigeons Piece is in a picturesque conservation village and has a wonderful village shop offering newspapers, fresh bread, croissant and local produce. The award winning Killingworth Castle pub serves delicious food and wonderful locally brewed beer. There is a newly refurbished childrens playground in the village for our younger guests to explore.

There are lovely walks to be taken directly from the property including accessing the Oxfordshire Way/Akeman Roman Road, the village river meadows sanctuary and exploring neighbouring Blenheim Palace.

Woodstock is 1 mile away and has a bank, restaurants, pubs, take-aways and many interesting shops and is also home to Blenheim Palace and the lovely Blenheim Estate which frequently hosts a variety of shows and events.

Other places to visit locally include Oxford, Burford, the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Daylesford Organic Farm, Soho Farmhouse, Bicester Outlet Village and Chipping Norton. Easily accessible for day visits include Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cirencester and Cheltenham and many lovely historic houses and gardens such as Chastleton House, Ditchley Park, Waddesdon Manor and Rousham Hall. Sir Winston Churchill's grave is in the nearby village of Bladon. Silverstone race track is 25 miles away for F1 enthusiasts.

The train stations at Oxford Parkway, Combe, Charlbury and Long Hanborough give access to trains direct to London Paddington and Marylebone taking around 70 minutes. Heathrow Airport is 1 hour away.
