One of only 1,200 Grade II listed dwellings in Pembrokeshire this historic stone colourwashed property was formerly the village inn and still retains many original features. This much-loved & excellently-equipped homely house is 50 yds from the water's edge in Lower Town - the picturesque setting for films like Under Milk Wood and Moby Dick. The old harbour is now used just for pleasure craft and is directly on the 188 mile Pembrokeshire Costal Walk. Enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine watching the sun go down on the amazing harbour just yards from the house! Pembrokeshire has the highest number of Blue Flag beaches in the UK. Come and enjoy this much-loved house with its great accommodation (inc 4 poster), fantastically equipped kitchen, parking, packed bookshelves & local artwork throughout. iPod dock, WiFi, DVD, CD, dishwasher etc. Restaurants, galleries and local produce within walking distance. Below is an outline of the rooms in the house, as this is often something which guests are keen to know before their stay.
On the ground floor there is a large dining room/entrance hall with seating for 12 people plus a woodburner which is lovely during the winter, a large sitting room complete with comfy sofas, TV, DVDs, wifi etc – there is also a bar tucked into the corner, which is a throwback to the house's past as a hotel! Also on the ground floor is the kitchen which is very well equipped with everything you'll need during your stay, including plenty of fridge/freezer space. There is also a boot/coat room off the kitchen which is perfect for walking boots etc. Towards the rear of the property there is an outhouse/utility/storage room which is great for muddy wellies, storing beach gear etc. Off this room is the back yard which has plenty of tables and chairs for guests as well as a BBQ with complimentary charcoal in the summer months. Downstairs there are also 2 extra toilets which are the bathrooms from when the house used to be a hotel/pub and are useful if you don't fancy a trip upstairs!
Upstairs there are 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms split over two floors in the following layout:
Bedroom 1 – Master bedroom with four poster double bed + ensuite with bath/shower
Bedroom 2 – Bunk bedroom (shared bathroom)
Bedroom 3 – Single bedroom (shared bathroom)
Bedroom 4 – Double bedroom with ensuite shower room
Bedroom 5 – Twin bedroom with ensuite shower room
Bedroom 6 – Family bedroom with kingsize bed, single bed and cot + sink (shared bathroom)
All the bedrooms have storage space.
All linen, bath and hand towels are provided plus tea towels. .
