Fishguard 5 miles; Newport 12 miles; St. Davids 14 miles. Post Office Cottage is a stone fronted dwelling in the small community of Trefasser, located within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and at the foot of Garn Fawr on the Pen Caer (Strumble Head) peninsula. This delightful location provides a great getaway for a couple looking for a quiet stay near the coast path with plenty of walking and beach opportunities nearby. The cottage has lots of character with stone walls, slate floors and wooden beams. The open plan living area includes comfortable seating and a well- equipped kitchen. The shower room and toilet is on the ground floor.Upstairs the spacious bedroom, with double bed, is light and airy. From the cottage and garden you will enjoy amazing views of the pre-historic Iron Age fort, rocky outcrops and distant views of St David’s Head and the Irish Sea. The Pembrokeshire coast path is just half a mile from the cottage. The Strumble Head Shuttle bus also passes the house and gives the opportunity to access the path at different points. If you fancy a circular walk from the house there are many well maintained footpaths and bridleways in this ancient landscape. Nearby Abermawr beach offers the chance to swim and surf, while Goodwick and Fishguard Lower Town are favourite spots for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. There is so much to see and do in North Pembrokeshire and here is just a taste. Goodwick, with facilities such a Tesco Express, post office, laundrette, pubs and cafes is only three miles down the road. In the neighbouring ‘twin town’ of Fishguard, famous for the Last Invasion in 1797 you can see the Last Invasion Tapestry which tells the story of local heroine Jemima Nicholas and visit the Royal Oak Inn where the peace treaty was signed. Walk down to Lower Town, a delightful harbour, with its fishing boats and yachts. Maybe take a guided boat trip around Strumble Head. Further afield you could visit the Blue Lagoon and its turquoise waters and further on to St David’s to see the cathedral and ruins of the Bishops Palace. Make Post Office Cottage your home away from home for your visit to Pembrokeshire.
