Bedroom 2: With single bed and single bed with pull-out bed (can be kingsize on request).

This beautiful, detached, character stone cottage is set in a truly stunning and quiet location, perched on the edge of the picture postcard Cleddau Estuary, on a no-through lane on the edge of the village of Hook and near to the historic fishing village of Llangwm. Woodlands Cottage has been thoughtfully appointed throughout with a cosy living room complete with beams, exposed stonework and an open fire, perfect for relaxing in front of with a glass of wine after a busy day exploring. The character continues into the separate, spacious dining room, also beamed, which is perfect for family dining or celebrating those special occasions together. The dining room also has a small sofa, a Welsh dresser, overlooks the garden and leads into the retro kitchen. On the first floor, both bedrooms have been lovingly furnished throughout with a focal solid wood floor in the master bedroom and a rocking chair. Both bedrooms look over the secluded garden and tree-lined river estuary. On those balmy warm summer days you can enjoy a barbecue with your family or friends in the enclosed lawned garden, making this cottage a perfect getaway all year round.

Woodlands Cottage sits on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is central for exploring all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. The idyllic village of Hook is steeped in history and dates back to Viking times. In the morning, take a walk over the lane and down along the river bank to watch the wildlife, as this area has been designated as a Special Area of Conservation, where migratory fish, otters and a wide variety of birdlife are attracted by rich habitats such as shallow gravel beds, tidal creeks, mudflats and steep wooded banks. There is convenient access to the estuary of the River Cleddau for kayaking and boating, located just 50 yards away.

All of south Pembrokeshire’s top beaches are accessible within a 30-40 minute drive. A trip to Tenby is fun for all the family, with a selection of sandy beaches, shops, cafés and restaurants. Whitesands, Newgale and Freshwater East offer long surfing beaches, plus many more beaches to explore. The theme parks of Heatherton and Oakwood are a great day out, or for younger families take a trip to Folly Farm Zoo, all within 20-40 minutes’ drive. Beach 10 miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
