Drefach, is an idyllic place to escape to a beautiful rural location just 8 miles north west of St Clears, perfect to explore Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire or Ceredigion and the Preseli hills.
Enter the newly laid tarmac driveway down to the cottage entrance and be welcomed by a large central tiered garden area with sweeping driveway.
Park your car and access the property via the spacious utility room with washing machine and drier, where there is also access to a downstairs WC.
Enter the fabulous kitchen diner, flooding with natural light, with an open plan snug, perfect for preparing a lovely family meal, or a great space to entertain and sit and play board games, with its patio doors to decked terrace and outdoor seating area. The kitchen has a full size fridge as well as all mod cons, including a nespresso coffee machine.
Off the kitchen is the cosy living room with SMART TV, perfect to snuggle up and watch a film on an evening, with an imitation log burner. There is a further hallway with door to ground floor double bedroom and an ensuite shower room with corner shower unit.
Upstairs you will find a beautifully decorated large king bedroom, along with a spacious twin bedroom and family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Externally there is a sweeping circular drive area with a tiered lawned area to the centre, and a curved terrace with a covered hot tub boasting far reaching rural views, and outdoor dining furniture. There is a Charcoal BBQ available for guest use to enjoy the evening sun. Lower down the large plot is the main cottage with decked terrace and seating area, ideal for a morning coffee.
Children will love the tarmaced areas for kicking a ball around, or just simply watching the countryside and animals in the surrounding fields (depending on time of year). Although this was a working farm, the cottage has been separated and access to fields is not via the grounds. There is a storage unit available upon request for any bikes or watersports equipment.
This property is perfect for family gatherings, and for those wanting a peaceful holiday away from it all.
The Local Area
Blaunwaun is a rural area and is perfectly located to explore Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Blaunwaun itself has limited amenities, but has one village pub. The nearest convenience shop is located in Llanboidy, 3.5 miles away, so make sure you stock up on route.
The local area has a good choice of outdoor activities available within a 30-40 minute drive, with local offerings of Castell Henllys Iron Age Village or Cliff diving at Rosebush quarry.
There are many beautiful rugged beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, along with the more popular coastal resorts of Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby.
There is an abundance of interesting attractions locally, including Castles, historic houses and National Botanical Gardens to name a few.
If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants in the vicinity, and Jabbajaks vineyard being a favourite in the area only 4 miles away.
It’s the perfect place to get away from it all…..
