Perched in the coastal town of Newport in Pembrokshire, is this delightful traditional stone-built cottage, Penllain. The cottage rests on the slopes of Carningli, Mount of Angels, is set over two floors and can sleep up to six guests, making it the perfect dwelling for a getaway to the coast with family or friends. Be welcomed into the generous kitchen/diner, with handy washing machine, where you can look forward to treating your guests to homemade culinary delights, as they set the table and uncork a bottle of wine. Gather round the dining table to savour a delicious meal as you toast to a wonderful holiday. After your meal, retire to the sitting room where you can put your feet up and relax on the spacious four-seater sofa in front of the open fire, as you select your favourite film to watch on the TV. Wash away the day with a soothing soak in the bath, as your towel warms on the heated towel rail nearby. Pop on your pyjamas and take advantage of the well-presented ground-floor double bedroom, ideal for those with limited mobility. Venture up to the first-floor where you will find a handy cloakroom, as well as two additional, tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, ensuring ample sleeping arrangements for all parties. Wake-up with a refreshing shower, followed by coffee out on the bench in the large private garden which has fantastic sea views and a fire pit for those starry evenings! Explore the local town, where you will find the Ty Twt Dolls House and Toy Museum, which houses an extensive collection of historic toys. For a scenic walk, head to the River Nevern Wildfowl Conservation Area, where you can soak up the surrounding scenery which is speckled with wildflowers. Pack your swimming trunks, buckets and spades and head to the glorious sands of Newport Beach, where you can paddle the shores, relax in the sunshine with your favourite book, or grab a bite to eat from the nearby café. Nearby, is the fascinating Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, where you can explore historic roundhouses set in a scenic 30-acres of parkland. If you have whet your appetite for history, be sure to visit the Pentre Ifan burial chamber where you will find the fascinating remains of a Neolithic tomb. Next, head to the coastal town of Fishguard, where you can venture up to the historic Fishguard Fort, learn more about marine conservation at the Ocean Lab, or get the best view in the town with a walk along Goodwick sea wall. Promising a memorable trip to Pembrokeshire, choose Penllain.
